A pool barrier inspection confirms your swimming pool meets the safety requirements that apply in NSW and, where it does, results in a certificate of compliance.
Overview
Swimming pool barriers in NSW are regulated under the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and the associated Australian Standards (AS 1926). The requirements cover barrier height and construction, gates and latching, non-climbable zones and resuscitation signage.
We assess the pool barrier against the applicable requirements and, where it complies, issue a certificate of compliance. A valid certificate is commonly required before a property with a pool can be sold or leased, and the pool must be listed on the NSW Swimming Pool Register.
