Crown Certificates
Development by or on behalf of the Crown, meaning government agencies and public authorities, can require Crown certificates. We assess and issue them as a registered certifier under the NSW framework.
Overview
Where building work is carried out by or on behalf of the Crown, the certification is provided through Crown certificates, the Crown equivalents of construction, compliance, subdivision and occupation certificates under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
We work with government agencies and public authorities to assess Crown building work against the approval and the applicable standards, and to issue the relevant Crown certificate. The same independence and documentation discipline apply as for any other certificate.
