BCA / NCC Compliance Advice & Reports

Overview
The National Construction Code, of which the Building Code of Australia is Volumes One and Two, sets the technical requirements for building work. Designs are expected to meet the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions, or to demonstrate compliance through a documented alternative approach.
We review designs against the applicable provisions and provide a written report setting out where the proposal complies and where it does not, with practical recommendations. Catching non-compliances at the design stage is far cheaper than discovering them at certification or on site.

Do you prepare performance (alternative) solutions?
We assess compliance and identify where a design departs from the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions. Where a performance solution is required, it is typically prepared by a relevant specialist such as a fire engineer; we will tell you when that applies.
